PhotobucketWilson Promontory National Park, also known as "The Prom" is largest coastal wilderness area in Australia. It lies at the southernmost tip of the Australian mainland. 3 hours drive from Melbourne.

Hubby's friend kept telling him, to visit this place, didn't take long for us to decide, as the holiday come round we were on our way to the prom. Aww.. sounds glamorous, but we geared up with tent and camping equipment. This was our first extraordinary first camping experience since we live in Australia.

As we camped out in National Park expected to see native wildlife more closer. And yes, kangaroo were coming around in camping site, but not that close. However wombat have different idea, they were wondering what we brought from city. Yes, food ! That's why we urged not to keep food inside tent, as wombat will be sniffing those tastier food rather than grass.

After all this place has so many things to offer, from isolated beaches to bush walking, meeting nature wildlife such as
kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, emus and attractive birds like rosellas. I also spotted cinema in Information Centre, but hey... whatever cinema offers you, close to nature experience is what we look forward in this place, isn't ?
